IKOR Transport combines a caregiver’s eye for well-being with reliable, wheelchair-accessible transportation so that seniors and individuals with disabilities can regain independence. We offer door-to-door transportation for those who just need a ride, and room-to-room transportation for those who need more support. Need to stop at the pharmacy on the way home? Need someone to walk with you into the doctor’s office? Not a problem!

Our Rates
IKOR Transport’s charges are based on an hourly rate plus mileage:
Weekdays Hourly Rate: $60 per hour with a $60 minimum; thereafter, charges after the first hour are rounded up to the half hour for minutes 1 – 30 ($30) , and rounded up to the hour for minutes 31-59 ($60).
Weekends & Holidays Hourly Rate: $90 per hour with $90 minimum; thereafter, charges after the first hour are rounded up to the half hour for minutes 1 – 30 ($45) , and rounded up to the hour for minutes 31-59 ($90).
Minimum charge: $60 (Weekends & State Holidays: $90)
Mileage: $2.00 per mile
Cancellation fee: $25
Applied if ride is cancelled with less than 4 hours’ notice

Our dispatcher is fluent in American Sign Language. To communicate with our dispatcher in ASL, please FaceTime 434.989.2255.
It’s best to schedule a ride a few days in advance; however, we understand that things can come up at the last minute; so we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs.
You don’t need an app or a fancy smartphone to pay for our service. You pay for our services once your ride is complete and our driver will accept all major credit and debit cards.

The IKOR Transport Difference
Our drivers are trained in communication strategies for those with dementia, managing wheelchairs and walkers, transfer techniques, and managing falls. They are also CPR and First Aid certified. More importantly, they drive for us because they want to serve seniors. Drivers can assist with sign-in documents at places such as doctors’ offices, help with other simple tasks, hold onto documents, and even assist with groceries.

Trained Drivers
Drivers receive transfer and dementia training and are CPR and First Aid certified. Our Dispatcher is fluent in ASL and available for video calls via your smartphone.
Clear Pricing
Our pricing is simple. We charge for our time in 30-minute increments plus $2.00 per mile driven. Drive time, wait time, and errand running are all billed at the same competitive rate.
